i have zero motivation to read anything right now. for some reason, i keep dnf-ing every single book that i start so here’s to hopes of me successfully making it through this month because this is shitty and stressful with a capital S. phew. too much angst, was it? anyways here are three books that i managed to get through towards the end of november but i am gonna skip one because your girl ended up reading and NOT dnf-ing a pedophilia book and we are going to ignore how fricking disturbing that is.
also, is it just me or has youtube hit heights with gods-damned two unskippable 30 seconds ads?! i swear spotify and youtube ads have already shaved off like a year’s worth of time from my life.

this book was so stunning that i literally re-read it three times immediately after finishing it. to be honest, it’s not an oh-my-god revolutionary book or something very unique. it’s very predictable and super cliched but i personally really enjoyed it. it has LGBTQ rep, fake dating, and is not exactly an enemies-to-lovers but it does give off slightly similar vibes. i certainly understand what everyone keeps raving about and at this point, i would recommend this book to everyone but i don’t think i can accurately pinpoint why you might enjoy this book because at this point i am that obsessed with this book.

i want to say i have zero opinions about this book because shatter me was one of my absolute favorite books and i really hold this series close to my heart not just because of the characters but also because tahereh mafi was the first author who made me open up to the idea of writing. i feel like ignite me would have been such a wholesome and open-ended conclusion to the initial trilogy but then we got more novels, which weren’t that bad but i have to agree, imagine me was so tremendously underwhelming. it was bad and i hate to say that because i respect tahereh so much. and then we get this novella of sorts as a conclusion to this entire series. it was kinda annoying? and i felt very detached but it could be because it’s been a long while. the best part was warner and kenji bickering like fifty-year-old pissed off aunts – the highlight of the whole book. i sincerely hope that tahereh is finally satisfied with this end because it’s been a while and i am ready to explore other worlds by her.
exams are still on the rush and i miss actively blogging so much. and i just feel very creatively drained currently for reasons unknown lol. nonetheless, i am hoping that i can get to these books by the end of the year, and if i am fortunate enough they can be the highlight of my year. well, that sounded morbid. but here are a few books with major contemporary streaks because i am craving some heartwarming romance right now.
the song of achilles because the song achilles come down has been on my playlist and it’s been begging me to get over with this book.
the fine print apparently has disneyland of sorts and grumpy sunshine trope and i am simply craving it after love hypothesis.
it ends with us makes people cry and you know i love me a teary book and because my bestie has been raving about it.
you’ve reached sam only if i deem my heart and mind ready to handle this form of pain.
jasmine throne because no tbr is complete without a fantasy.
we are keeping this short because we already know that i am a massive mood reader and there’s a huge possibility that all of this might change. and after exams get over i am only gonna have two weeks to get back in the flow. damn, this post sounds so morbid and down. i apologize beforehand and someone please do something about these ads. they are life-threatening ugh.
to everyone who has their examinations, good luck to you, and a huge congratulations to panna@ the state of craze for her one year here on WordPress. it’s been a while since i wrote such a chitty-chatty post; i hope it was nice for a change.
have a great day!
