a year ago, earlier this month, sometime around the quite hour of 3 a.m. i had started this blog on a book drunken haze. and here we are. damn, i sound like some sort of one toothed old man reminiscing about the past. i don't have any special post or competition prepared and i am… Continue reading so, it’s been a year and here we are || hi again!
1. Can you tell me about a scene that you wrote but never added to the story and why? ...I’m also pretty sure the original working title was “WE’RE JUST NOT MEANT TO BE” and let’s just say I’m really happy we changed it.
A thrilling new fantasy full of magic, adventure, and the power of family.
A fantasy story with influential people in politics, dark secrets, and too much power play - set in Victorian London, as we follow a "Strange" girl Iris, who is strange not just because she is an African tightrope dancer but because she can never die.
The Dark and Shallow Lies is a wonderfully crafted mystery tale.
If I say this book was delightful, it would be an understatement.
The female character is wearing a lehenga on the cover. Of course, I had to request this title. One of my most anticipated releases of this year, It All Comes Back To You is not exactly a heartfelt mushy-mushy book. But funnily it does house one of the most heartfelt tropes in the YA community and that is *ladies and gentlemen: put your hands together for* the "I hate you in real life but are online best friends on a gaming platform." I know, stunning.
Feelings. Emotions. Anger. Hurt. Love. Happiness. Frustration. Hope. More anger. Hurt. Anger. So many feelings. People say that you can die from the emptiness inside you. But I wonder, why do they never say that the vast oceans and waves inside you can drown you as well. What about those people who drown in their… Continue reading feelings || excerpt from a book i’m writing #102

this reality bending tale of magical realism and horror, Katy will learn answers to questions she has never been brave enough to ponder, all while traveling through a bizarre world with only a sketchbook and pen to defend herself.
hey. how YOU doin' just had to quote joey. yes yes, i know i hate tv shows and yet i wounded up watching this sitcom in three months? which has like a gazillion episodes? and now i am all but raving about it. but let me take a moment to make this declaration - i am officially trash for this show. when i say i have a lot to talk about it, i am not lying sweetheart. it's gonna be more than 18 pages, and it's gonna be front and back! saving all of my ramblings for a later post, let's dive into this tag which i believe was originally created by the lovely roxanne @ an average life.
A young witch tries to unravel the mystery of who is framing her for dark magic.
A thrilling, feminist fantasy about a group of teenage girls endowed with special powers who must band together to save the life of the boy whose magic saved them all.
A magical journal. A world savaged by its own suns. An evil prince. A princess in hiding. And a teenage girl who learns to be the hero of her own story. An engrossing new portal fantasy in the spirit of the Wizard of Oz, the Neverending Story, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
Get Out meets Danielle Vega in this YA horror where survival is not a guarantee. This was a breath of fresh air, and just so much fun with lots of snarkiness, great sense of humor, and a whole load of mystery. This book made me laugh out loud, and we love that.
For fans of Sorcery of Thorns and Furyborn comes the thrilling sequel to Shielded about a world in a deadly magical war and the newly crowned king and feisty princess who must defeat the deadliest of foes before there’s nothing left to save. Beautifully crafted, this fast-paced story with hidden libraries, fight scenes, heart-stopping back stories, amazing character arc, and wonderful imagery, is absolutely worth the read. Besides, it's a dual POV!
I don't think I have ever talked about exactly how much I adore Taylor Swift and her music, so here is a post dedicated to her. But of course, I had to make it something book related. Everything about this book demanded to be read - the gorgeous cover, the synopsis, the concept, and even the first line which was, "Blood got everywhere and Mother wasn't happy about it." But unfortunately, it's one of the most disappointing books that I have ever read.
But I would be lying if I said that this book was just as good. It was actually pretty disappointing, and every moment I just wanted to go back to Alex and Henry.
This is one of those rare books that capture your mind, attention, thoughts, and heart right from the very first chapter.

One thing I know from being a fantasy reader is that fantasy readers will NEVER admit to real life people who are not readers, that they read fantasy. I mean, at least I don't. Hello! It's been a minute, and I just...ughhh! If someone knows how to write a proper introduction post, please let me know in the comments section. I am terrible at this! Anyways, I am not having the best reading month because my school re-opened and the final year in high school is just downright annoying 😭 Honestly, get the shovel someone, I feel like burying a few people. 😂 If only it was that easy 😒 So, I had re-read this book before reading ACOSF, and I had written this post then, but I forgot to post it, cause I still had to edit it a lil' bit, eliminate some typos and you know, I was just being lazy. 😅 This is not like my other Reading #vloginwords, because it's a re-read and this is more like a walk through all my annotations, and of course I have left out the very personal ones, and ... I hope you enjoy it! Also, this is NOT a review. We are gonna some spoilers. 😁
Sometimes, I wonder if it applies to me too. I wonder if the phrase - "too late to go back", holds true for me too. Maybe I have changed so much, pretended so long, lied so deep and come so far - that there is no going back. And maybe there never was...ever since I… Continue reading no longer
